SIMPLE IRA- For companies with 100 or fewer employees. Contributions are pre-tax and grow tax deferred. The employer matches 2% - 3% of compensation.

Simplified Employee Pension Plan- SEP's allow the employer to contribute up to the lesser of 25% of compensation or $40,000. Earnings grow tax deferred. The employer receives a tax deduction for the contribution.

Self Employed- A personal 401k plan is designed for single owner businesses that employ only a spouse or immediate family member. It allows tax-deductible profit sharing contributions up to 25% of compensation plus an additional contribution based on yearly limits.

One Person Defined Benefit Plan- Designed for self-employed individuals earning over $75,000 annually, allows maximum benefit far in excess of what a 401k plan would allow. In addition you can move your existing 401k , IRA and other eligible retirement savings plan assets into a single Defined Benefit Plus plan.
